Health Literacy
Health literacy is a strong predictor of an individual’s overall health—it may even have a greater impact than income, education level, or employment status. Health literacy refers to the ability to find, understand, and use health information to make informed decisions about one's own well-being.
4-session program (virtual and/or in-person) covering:
📌 What to bring to a medical appointment, what questions to ask, how to recognize emergencies, and where to seek help.
📌 Common medical procedures, where to find vaccination records, birth certificates, and more.
📌 Understanding basic health concepts, medications, recognizing symptoms, patient rights, and responsibilities in the U.S. healthcare system.

Monthly conversations to discuss current health topics, new research, programs, and organizations promoting wellness.
